- Ambient techno with a Brazilian twist.
- Oddest Number, a group of Brazilian musicians based in London and Berlin, have only two releases under their belt, but their sound carries a depth and nuance developed from years of experimentation. Their debut EP from 2022 combined springy jazz melodies with bubbly synths and hints of bossa nova, and their latest record veers down a slightly darker route. Incorporating a techno-inspired sound with hints of tribal house, "Passagem" isn't quite a dance floor number, though its trancey synth lines takes the group closer to the club circuit. In the background, limber, samba-influenced drum work adds a Brazilian touch, emphasising the group's taste for light rhythms. Primed for a darker club remix or a breezy house edit, "Passagem" is likely just the tip of Oddest Number's iceberg.
