- Dexter's music ranges quite widely, so it's surprising to see Clone pick up some of his least four-four tracks for a label that until now has only released house and techno. "Great Northern Diver" is very neatly executed sun-drenched dancehall, with frantic tin-pan rhythms and a huge percussive riff swooping over the top. "T.H.I.N.G." has a much more laidback beat, and is submerged in layers of dubby synths. The chopped up female vocals make it sound like a kind of ominous, futurist version of "Girls Like Us" by B15 Project. "Bo Dyned" drifts along with its head in the clouds and a grounding of deep bass and overtly restrained kicks. Whether this release is a sign that the label's broadening out or just a one-off is anyone's guess. What is obvious is that it's one of its best yet.
